Hummingbirds

This weeks project is the ever popular hummingbird. They can't help but put a smile on your face if one is lucky enough to see one. They hover over our flowers in the summer drinking the nectar. The little wings go so fast you can't even see them. They love bee balm and so do I so that the flower I chose for my quilt.

I use parchment paper to build my fusible "bird parts"

Once ironed and fused you can pick up the parts and move them around.

A hummer on a bright sunny day

Or on a moonlit evening.

Still working on this one but close enough to show you.

Do you have hummingbirds in your yard?

  1. I love beebalm too. We have hummingbirds that I spot very rarely. They sweep in and out in a flash. The other birds stick around. LeeAnna

  2. Wow, so wonderful! Love your hummers! We had a cat not long ago, who would catch the hummingbirds as they came to the feeder. I had to stop feeding them!

But Whitney Dallas was fast, let me tell you. (named for Whitney Houston but she was born in Dallas, so she couldn't be Houston.........) just sayin'
